Kristina was an incredible person- who lit up any room she entered. Truly beautiful, inside and out. She knew how to make people feel special and loved. She was a natural leader, a good listener and cared deeply for her kids, family and loved ones.
From childhood, my favorite memory is sharing a room, playing barbies and listening to Delilah on the radio at night. As teens, my favorite memories are visiting our grandparents in Escondido, sunbathing on the large boulders in their backyard and listening to music. My favorite memory from adulthood is visiting her in Springfield, MO and taking a road trip to Nashville in her jeep, going out and dancing to a Jimmy Buffet cover band.
I miss her laugh. I miss her voice. I miss her funny texts. I miss her pep talks and her support and advice. I miss hugging her and watching our kids play together. I miss the entire future I envisioned for us as sisters, raising our kids together and being there for each other.
I think Kristina would want to be remembered as someone who was kind to everyone. She never judged people by their cover. She had an open heart and cared deeply about her friends and family. . She would like to be remembered as a good, supportive friend to many and a good mom. She wanted to help other women with substance use disorder, and I think she would want her story to be told in the hopes it could help others.
