The National Addiction Memorial honors the loved ones we’ve lost.

Michael always had such a big heart. He was the guy always there for others with loving advice. He struggled with depression and drug addiction for half of his life. He went to several rehabs where he would always do great. He always made great friends wherever he went. But he somehow always got pulled back to using drugs. He loved his family and friends dearly. He loved God and is now at peace. We miss him dearly but know we will see him again.

Bryce had an infectious smile and a beautiful heart. He fought so hard but unfortunately he lost his battle a month before his 22nd birthday to heroin. He is forever loved and deeply missed! 💔

You tried so hard to stop the pain. God answered your prayers and took you home to rest. The ache in my heart is constant. Until we meet again, my son.

Jared was my boyfriend and best friend. He would and could do anything and everything for anyone he cared about. He was loved by many and loved even more. Jared had a heart that did not understand why people would let him down or turn their backs when he needed them. We had some hard times, but he knew I loved him unconditionally always and forever. I miss him every second of everyday. I keep hoping Jared being gone is just a nightmare I will wake up from. I am happy to know that Jared is no longer struggling and is with our Lord and Savior. We will be together again.

I will never understand why you decided to go back to those drugs! You were sober for seven years.You left us too soon. God had other plans. But please remember how very much you were loved. And still are! Brodie, I don’t know what will happen if when I die, you aren’t in heaven waiting for me! I pray you knew the Lord and had time to call out the name above all names, Jesus.Our family saying is LUMI (love u 😡 it)! I will never be the same 💔😢✝️

Dalton was a fun-loving kid that no matter what always had a smile on his face. He had one love in life and that was his babies. Dalton struggled in life since he was a child. We love and miss him every single day.

John had struggled for 10 years with his heroin addiction. He was about eight months sober. When he lost his battle on July 19th 2019. He was very funny, a caring and loving guy. Loved the Grateful Dead. He brought light to everyone who he came in contact. Our lives are forever changed.

My brother was special to me in every way. Even though we argued more than anything he was still my big brother. I don't believe he was on heroin a year before it took his life. I honestly thought he was sleeping on the couch as I watched TV. I tried CPR but it was too late. I should have checked him sooner. But I don't want him defined or remembered for this sickness, this disease. He would do anything for anyone. He was a good father, a good friend, a good brother, a good son.

Scott Bradley was always a beautiful, smart, and funny boy. He was active and loved to play and be silly. He developed a love for cars in his late teen years. While at college, Scott Bradley was a victim in a multi car crash that began the end of his life. He developed an addiction to OxyContin after his injuries. When he could no longer get scripts for the OxyContin, he bought it off the street. At some point a “ friend” suggested heroin as a cheaper alternative. After that point, Scott Bradley tried nearly every drug to drown his pain. He went to rehab several times. He seemed to get better. His fatal dose occurred on 9/10/18, after presumably doing “ a little cocaine” which was pure fentanyl. He died instantly, leaving behind a heartbroken mother. He also left behind an infant son.

Took his own life away from his wife and children whom love him more than words could ever speak. Lost his life due to extreme depression. Loss after loss, blow after blow in life taking it everyday with a heavy addiction to alcohol as well. My love, my life, my everything. I'l never love again.

A son, a brother, a father. He is missed and loved by so many. He loved making everyone happy and had a contagious smile that would light up a room. He was my best friend, my backbone when losing two of his siblings. Gone but Never Forgotten

Perry had a heart of gold. He'd give his last shirt off his back in -40 weather to anyone who needed it just to see a genuine smile. He'd give anything to anyone just to prevent anyone from feeling the way he did growing up. He had bipolar and suffered severe abandonment issues after being shuffled around foster homes, new schools, etc. His father was in a bad semi-accident, which only contributed to his heart full of pain and destructive behavior. His dad passed 6 years ago. It tore his heart out and that's when he started his rough road down addiction. He started with his dads leftover pain pills, which lead to heroin use. He tried committing suicide with heroin right before we met. 💔 He stopped using heroin but meth was his demise. He dealt to feed his addiction, which led to several felony charges and he was facing prison time. Meth was ruining both of our lives fast. He wanted a family terribly so he decided to get clean and live a respectable life as a family man. He was sober a little over six months when his bipolar spun out of control. We fought, we argued, he took off and I guess he decided to get a bag, and that bag ended up tragically taking his life. He was a great man and our last conversation wasn't a good one...never leave your loved ones feeling angry. I don't care how mad you are never leave without saying "I love u".

Nicholas was an amazing father. His two girls were his whole entire world. He was a construction engineer, who loved his work and was a perfectionist. He took pride in being great at what he did and being able to provide for his wife and daughters. He was a proud son and the best little brother I could have ever had. We joked all the time. We had silly nicknames as kids and we have so many memories as kids. We will never know why this happened but I promise you Nicholas we will forever keep your memory alive. I will make it part of my life's mission to raise awareness of addiction and remove the stigma.

Missing you so much! We all love you to the ends of the Earth.

Jeremiah was a beautiful boy. He loved animals and was loyal and loving. He fought addiction for years but after having his daughter in September 2018, we thought he was starting to overcome his demons. We were wrong and in January, he relapsed and ended his life in a drug induced psychosis. He left behind a devastated family who loves and misses him beyond measure.

My husband was an IV user of the pill diladas but he stopped using about five years ago. My husband overdosed on heroin and they didn't tell anyone. I'm so hurt.

I miss my brother so much. He was the best brother, uncle, and dad. He is missed so much and I wish everyday he was here.

Damien was such a kind soul. He always made people feel good about themselves. He is so very missed by everyone. He always made you feel good about yourself and always had a kind word to say. He was the most polite person. He would always hold doors open for people and always had a kind word to say. His nieces and nephews loved him so very much and I hope will never forget him. He always played with them and they loved him so very much. Life has definitely changed with him not here. He lived his last years in such torment because of this horrible disease. He became someone that we didn’t even know. He struggled so very hard with this addiction. I really thought he was on the road to recovery and then one night he never woke up. I truly hope that he did not suffer but in his real life he always did. He is so very sadly missed by everyone and I hope he knows how truly loved he was.

This was my dad!! He was kind, loving, and caring of others! He was in and out of prison and addiction all his life. He was only 63. He was tired and beaten. He lost the battle! One thing, if nothing else, he taught me ... keep fighting the good fight!! ( I have 14 months sober)
