Lucas Richard Olsen

He had a heart for helping the people that didn’t feel loved in the world. He was a realist and spoke his truth often. He didn’t tell you what you wanted to hear, he told you what you needed to hear. He was himself and didn’t care about fitting in.

There were many favorite memories. I remember when he use to surprise me with gifts. I would say, where are you? How come you’re not coming back? You’re taking a long time and he would come back with a bouquet of flowers. He would make wonderful surprise dinners for me. Also, he used to pretend like he was driving with his eyes closed, and he would just have the eye closest to me closed. I would freak out and say, put your hands on the wheel and open your damn eyes. I miss him and think about him a lot.

I miss his realness. He was definitely an authentic person.

Someone who did the best they can with what they had. He was definitely a lover. He had a lot of love to give sometimes it was just hard for him to find it back the way he wanted it.
