What Josh was like

My brother, Josh, lost his battle to substance use disorder September 28th, 2024 at the age of 31. My brother was more than his addiction. Behind my brother’s struggles, there was a hardworking, jokester, loyal, and big hearted human being. My brother did not deserve to die.

Fondest memories of Josh

Exploring the woods at our Mimi and Pop’s house. Him trying to teach me how to skateboard. Our cabin trips. Playing video games together. Playing hide and go seek when we were kids. He always had the best hiding spots.

How Josh will be missed

He was the co-keeper of my childhood. His laugh. And watching him play with his nieces and nephews.

How Josh will be remembered

He would want to be remembered as a person, an uncle, a son, a brother. Not a stigma of substance abuse. As a person who loved, and was worthy of love. As someone that could light up the room and have everyone laughing. As someone that was so kind hearted, loyal, and always willing to help others.
