Joseph (Joe) Zair-Hanks
What Joseph was like
Thoughtful, kind, and giving. Loved gathering people together and cooking for them. Was always determined, and determined to do things on his own and in his own way. Hilarious story teller. Lopsided grin and twinkle in his eyes. Beautiful.
Fondest memories of Joseph
There are so many. The way he made people laugh. The way he really thought about what would make people happy. The quiet ways he would do things for people to show he cared. Little red hen attitude ever since he was really little, "I'll do it myself" For example, when he was really little, he was struggling so hard to get his little bike up the 2 steps and into the house. Seeing him struggling with it, I picked the bike up and put it in, he pushed it back out and started over, to do it himself
How Joseph will be missed
Pretty much everything. I miss his little lopsided grin and the twinkle he got in his eyes when he made me laugh. I miss laughing like that, the way his sole intention was to get me laughing hysterically, like it just made his day to see people laughing. I miss the way he always wanted to gather everyone together. I miss the creations he made with food. I miss hugging him. He wasn't a big hugger, but when he did hug, he meant it. I miss his smile and his voice. I miss his kind soul. Everything.
How Joseph will be remembered
I think maybe he would like to be remembered as the one who made them laugh. He just really loved to make people laugh.
I think people will remember the thoughtful things he did for them, to show he loved and cared about them
