“Just Going Through It and Figuring It Out”: Noah Cyrus Opens Up About Her Recovery

“It was an extremely challenging couple of years,” Cyrus admits. The isolation and hardship of the COVID-19 pandemic made it worse.

“This album, without a doubt, saved my life,” Cyrus says. “It gave me so much structure and an emotional outlet at a time I really needed it.”

Cyrus is proud of her recovery, but knows each journey is a personal one.

"I'm not trying to be, like, any spokesperson for recovery or anything like that,” she explains. “I, myself, am just going through it and figuring it out. I wake up in the mornings, and I'm able to look in a mirror and go on about my day without hating myself. I'm able to comfort myself and nurture myself."

Kelly Clarkson applauds Cyrus for both her recovery and her openness about it, saying, “that’s an important thing that people do not talk about.”

Millions of people just like Cyrus are thriving in recovery today.
