Shatterproof Speaker Series: Dr. John Kelly

April 2020

Dr. John Kelly, a global leader in addiction and recovery research and professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School joined Shatterproof’s Executive Vice President, Stephen D’Antonio, for a conversation about his ground-breaking findings on the efficacy of peer support programs in achieving and sustaining recovery. This review focused on alcohol addiction, the country’s most prevalent form of addiction which impacts more than 15 million Americans and has caused more than 88,000 deaths per year, and Alcoholics Anonymous. Including more than 11,000 participants, John’s work demonstrates the importance of strong social support and clinical expertise.
