Taylor Christianson Pierce
What Taylor was like
Taylor was the 5th of 6 children and adored by his family. He was born an old soul: studying the world with insight and curiosity. We affectionately called him Eeyore as he was a cynic and saw straight through pretense. He was loved and cherished..
Fondest memories of Taylor
Taylor's ultimate superhero was Batman and for 6 Halloweens straight he insisted on dressing as Batman. He loved chick-fillet, bagels, pickles, pizza and Subway. He loved Jazz guitar and would practice 3 to 4 hours per day, performing all over the Southeast. Taylor watched Braveheart and could quote his entire battle speech, verbatim. Taylor was nicknamed by his siblings - Bubba, King Louey, Louis and Eeyore. Taylor loved Everquest, Dragonball Z, The Simpsons, and his dogs, Chewy and Okami.
How Taylor will be missed
We miss Taylor's sarcasm, wit, quirky views and profound insight and discernment. We miss the stream of continuous music that echoed from his bedroom throughout our home. We miss his late nights jaunts destroying the kitchen in his attempt to cook. We miss our lazy lake days together and our travel time to and from gigs. We miss Tuesday nights at 8th and Rail and Auburn Knight reunions. He miss political and religious discussions, and his continuous presence in our home. We miss his hugs.
How Taylor will be remembered
Taylor would love to be remembered as a champion for the underdog. He is remembered as a great jazz guitarist. Music was his God-given gift and passion. He was kind, insightful, generous and loyal; a loving brother and son. Taylor took pride in being honest and forth-coming and exuded fairness and compassion. Taylor would love to be remembered as loving God and loving others, while remaining non-judgmental. Taylor could love to say that substance abuse robbed him of his life and his joy.
