Richard Glenn Capozzoli Sr

Richie loved life and loved people. He was also a very patriotic person- we always had an American flag in our home. We met in May 2010 and our first kiss was June 5, 2010., from then I was hooked. There is no one like My Richie or ever will be.

He would take hours to get showered, dressed and "colonged up" whether it was to go to work, whenever we were supposed to go out, or just because. Whenever I was sad, nervous or anxious, he knew "how to fix me" with his strong reassuring voice that "everything will be alright and I love you boo cause that's what we do; we're team Capozzoli." I loved how he took me into his arms and lifted my chin up with his fingers to look up at his face while gazing into my eyes and warmly smiling at me.

We were married 5 years, 8 months, 21 days- together for 3.5 years prior to being married on January 10, 2014. Due to his untimely death, I now consider our 9.5 years together as "our lifetime". I have thanked God a multitude of times thru my tears and from my heart for allowing me to have My Richie in my life as long as he did. He was my defender and my protector in life and now in death. He was the most strong minded person I've ever met. He was a unique man who I'll love and cherish forever

I want my husband to be remembered for being that kind, compassionate, strong minded, fun loving husband, friend, father, son, pop-pop and uncle he was- not for how "addiction stole his life" too soon. He was intentionally given "a poison pack" of fentanyl from our former "so called friend" which he believed was heroin. The Forensic Pathologist told me over the phone that my husband did not suffer; his exact words were "he was dead before he hit the floor and it was that fast."
