Justin

Justin Cappiello was 25 years old when he was taken from us by an overdose of heroin which was laced with fentanyl. He was the oldest of 3 children, loved his brother and sister and watched over them always! Justin was so full of life, love and laughter. He was a big muscular man who was a giant teddy bear full of kindness and silliness.

Each day, he brought a smile to so many through his hilarious videos and facetime calls and always letting his friends, family and all who met him know they were loved and supported. He was strong, extremely smart, motivated, hard working and he took time out of his day to check on everyone and let them know they were special. Justin had a way of brightening up a room and he was loved by all who met him.

Justin tried heroin one time when going through a difficult phase in his life and from that moment on he was hooked. We tried everything to fight his demons but they found a way of sneaking back in when he was unsuspecting.

Justin worked so hard toward recovery and was wonderful at helping others who were also struggling. He fought this disease for 3 years when he had a slip and the heroin he used was laced with fentanyl. There was no chance of revival and he was taken from us in an instant; robbing him of the life he so deserved and taking away our special Justin who was so very loving and kind.

Life without Justin is truly painful and very empty without his laughter. We have worked extremely hard to identify the man that delivered the fentanyl-laced drugs to Justin and I can happily say that in Justin's memory, we have taken this man off the streets and put him behind bars. Each year, we work hard to raise money to help raise awareness of this disease and to help remove the stigma associated with it.

Not only did Justin have to suffer with this disease, but the shame was so destructive. We ask that in Justin's memory, please tell someone who is struggling that they are loved and supported.
