Falen Petros, MS has four years of experience in health promotion, education, and community engagement.

She champions health literacy as a vehicle to advance health equity. Falen’s professional experience includes day-to-day program management and communications support for a City-wide Health Literacy Initiative – made possible by a $3.6M grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health, to fight COVID-19 and improve health literacy among racial and ethnic minority and vulnerable communities.

Additionally, Falen worked to support hundreds of Child Care Resource and Referral agencies across the country which in turn support children, families and child care providers in receiving and providing high quality child care partly through membership management, public health education and public health strategic planning. Falen has also served as a Health Educator and holds a Health Literacy Specialist certificate from the Institute of Healthcare Advancement.
