Dr. Rosenzweig is a Senior Behavioral Medical Director with Optum and has been with the organization for more than 16 years. He focuses on leading the clinical administration of behavioral benefits for millions of Optum members across the county, and specializes in the areas of occupational psychiatry, mood disorders and substance use.
Dr. Rosenzweig also serves as Optum's national SUD clinical leader. This allows him to actively develop innovative programs that improve access to quality, evidence-based care for people with substance use disorders, and in particular those most impacted by the current opioid epidemic. He frequently speaks to national audiences on the topic and consults with regional health plans across the country.
Dr. Rosenzweig is board-certified in psychiatry and a clinical associate in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his work with Optum, he maintains a role in active clinical practice focused on the treatment of individuals with mood disorders and other psychiatric disorders. He is a Graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa and completed his residency and psychiatric residency at Pennsylvania hospital and his fellowship in psychopharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania.
