When someone you care about is impacted with mental health or substance use challenges, your support can be life-changing.

But knowing how to help isn’t always easy.

That’s why we've partnered with the Mental Health Action Network and more than 2,700 partners worldwide inviting you to take action this Mental Health Action Day on Thursday, May 15, 2025, by learning the simple steps of A.S.K. — Acknowledge, Support, Keep-in-Touch.

Think of A.S.K. as the emotional support version of “stop, drop, and roll.” It’s quick to learn, easy to remember, and powerful in practice.

Most people turn to a friend first when they feel they need help — but nearly 70% say they don’t know what to say or do. A.S.K. gives you the tools to show up with confidence and compassion.

📥 This May 15, download the A.S.K. Toolkit to get conversation starters, support resources, and self-care tips to start the supporting someone in your life.
