Nathan Jonah Lerner
What Nathan was like
He was always stubborn, marching to the beat of a different drum. He was not an easy kid, not an easy teenager, not an easy young adult. But he was BECOMING - becoming a man, becoming a kind HUMAN. After he died we learned so much about him from friends and strangers who had crossed his path in rehabs, jail, prison, the streets, jobs... was kind and loving and protective of his friends. And though we didn't always feel it, he loved us beyond. measure, as we did him.
Fondest memories of Nathan
I see Nathan as my little boy, times he knew I was watching, times he didn't. One night we bundled up and went on the back deck to watch for shooting stars. He said, "What could be better than watching shooting stars with your mom?" I am grateful for that memory
How Nathan will be missed
His humor, and his kindness when he was really trying to relate.
How Nathan will be remembered
I think he would want to be remembered for his musical ability, and his caring for others. He truly took care of his friends in the best way he knew how.
