Michelle Juma is the Project Management Specialist on Shatterproof’s National Stigma Initiative team.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, Michelle worked at Enterprise Community Partners, a national nonprofit working across the full spectrum of affordable housing creation. There, she supported the Office of the President facilitating cross-departmental collaboration and providing additional capacity to emerging, high priority projects within the organization. As a member of Enterprise’s consulting team, Michelle provided technical assistance to rural, urban, and island communities, conducting community needs assessments, stakeholder evaluations, and developing targeted strategies that align local capacity and resources to achieve community goals for housing, community development, and increased access to opportunity. Michelle has also developed several knowledge products related to equitable disaster recovery, federal grant management, and special interest topics in international development — including informal housing, nation-building, and cultural resilience. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Studies from Cornell University and is based in Washington, D.C.
